Star of Munster

This has been a favorite Irish tune of mine in recent years for teaching. I especially like the B part. Check back for more detailed notes on how to play it.

Here’s a nice performance on Mandola and fiddle.

A few notes are different from my version, but useful for getting a feel for this. I like the unison sound of the two instruments. Having a few instruments play the melody at once is common in this style.
